This year for Valentines day I plan to make a “mixed tape” of songs to give to my boyfriend. I am going to secretly download the greatest love songs to his mp3 player. Then when he goes for his run, the first song will already be qued up and ready to play. Then the plan is when he comes back he will be geared up and ready to go out for a romantic dinner. I hope he likes the surprise, I am trying to be more romantic than just buying a bottle of cologne. The cologne is getting old, as that is what I have done fore the last two years.

When I was a teen I spent a lot of time learning how to drive. I remember my father lecturing me about all the safety rules and the importance of being a defensive rather than offensive driver. The one lesson that he drilled into me more than any other was the need to have car insurance. He told me that there is no excuse to ever drive a car without insurance. It is one of the most irresponsible things a person can do. It’s like telling the world that you don’t care about their lives or their property when you are out driving near them.

I recently was approached by a friend that is currently in school training to be a court reporter. She told me what goes on in the classes and how the professors train them. She asked me to go to an open house that the institute was sponsoring so that prospective students could tour the facilities and see if they would like to begin taking classes. My friend told me to do some research on the court reporter salary, and where the act of transcribing is used. Not only is a court reporter used in courts, but they can also be used in many other settings. Once such setting is a transcriber for the Deaf. I am very excited to begin my new career endeavor.

My grandma is getting older and sometimes we are concerned about leaving her at home for long periods of time all by herself. And it is not always easy to find someone who is good with elderly people to go over and help her during part of the day, so we looked on the Internet for a service that might be able to help us with finding someone to help us with my grandma since we are all busy with jobs and families during most of the day.
