I am against frivolous lawsuits, so my family was surprised when I encouraged my brother Jody to sue a hospital. Jody went into the hospital for a routine surgery and was accidentally given a wrong medication. Instead of the three days he was supposed to be in the hospital, it took him weeks to recover. His medical costs were high and he was worried. I gave him the name of an Indiana Medical Malpractice Attorney with an excellent reputation. Jody was surprised but I told him that sometimes there really is malpractice and this was one of those times. His attorneys got a fair settlement for my brother and he avoided the major financial problems he was afraid of.

Universal Health Care promotion is a method directed towards making people to take action. Thus, health promotion is done by, with and for people either as individuals or as groups. The motive of this activity is to strengthen the skills and capabilities of individuals to take action or communities to act collectively to exert control over the determinants of health and achieve positive change.

It’s funny the reactions I get when people find out their acupuncturist has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. Let’s just say I was pretty far along one road before I realized it wasn’t the only or best road for me. But my background is good for one thing. I can let my clients know when I’ve got new books in, when I’m running a special, when I’ve got some interesting health news. Yes, this Doctor of Chinese Medicine can put on a fine email marketing campaign. And yes, even I can see the irony. But the truth is, I need business to stay in business, and in my business, I’m always helping someone. And with email, I’m helping them fast. And that’s a good thing, right?
