Improving My Search Engine Ranking

My company is doing okay at this point, but could be doing so much better. I just can’t figure out why my marketing techniques won’t work. As a result, I am considering hiring a company that specializes in Search Engine Optimization. My sister says I am going about this completely wrong though. She feels I need to hire a company that can help with my overall marketing strategy, not just one aspect of it. I can see her point so I’m going to check out that type of company also. Maybe they will find other things that could be improved upon and really allow my business to take off.
