Seeing if the Government Could Help Out With My Financial Difficulties

I am trying to find a good way to keep from going bankrupt. I don’t know how I got into this mess. I have heard that there are some government grants that are meant to help people in financial difficulties, and I am wondering if this is true. If so, where can I find out more about them? I am hoping this will be at least a partial solution to my problems. I can’t think of anything else I can cut out of my budget, and I can only work so many hours in a day. I am trying to negotiate with the credit card companies.
