My mother started slowing down a lot so I moved her into my house. While I was at work she would get bored sitting around my house with nothing to do so and I was not sure what I could do to help her. Then one day she saw this commercial put on by a video production in orlando that talked about a senior citizen day care. She said it looked so good and the people on there looked so caring that I decided to call. After I visited them I was real impressed and now my mom has a fun place to go to when I go to work.

I signed up for a music course at my local college. The lecture today was about how to expand my vocal range. The instructor talked about how important it is to practice the techniques every day. He said that if you are not consistent that it will be just a waste of time. He guaranteed that if you only practice the techniques half the time that you will lose the effect it will have. I did not realize how important it is to train and stay focused. I think I am going to enjoy this course because the instructor explains everything in terms that are easy to comprehend.

I was reading a music magazine. It contained information on bands and singers who had recently produced a new CD. I also read about song sales and how a person could take free guitar lessons. I was glad that I had that magazine. I found it entertaining and informative. I liked to unwind at the end of the day with my magazine. In addition, to music magazines I also liked to read general entertainment and fashion magazines. I liked reading but sometimes I preferred just picking up a good magazine to read. I don’t always have enough time to read a book but I could read an article or two.

I had seen the term 7th chord before, I think I had even had a friend of mine tell me to play a particular 7th chord during a jam session, but unfortunately I had no idea what the heck he was talking about. That is until I got to the second lesson in my new blues guitar dvd. After learning the basics of the 12 bar blues the course begins to explain that to blues things up even more if I used 7th chords it would sound great. The videos went on to teach some really basic ways to play 7th chords up and down the neck and how you can easily find any 7th chord you’re looking for with just a little basic bit of theory.

The greatest tool a beginner drummer can have isn’t a drum lesson dvd, a practice pad or even a good drumming friend. It’s a metronome or click track. It’s important when you’re first learning to play the drums that you take advantage of click tracks to practice playing in proper time. It’s easy to mess up your timing when you’re playing alone but when you add in a guitar player, pianist and bass player trust me it will get even harder if you haven’t been playing to a click track. So if you’re just starting out get a hold of a good click track you can use in your ears, it’ll be worth it’s weight in gold as your learn.
