Virtual Desktop Technology

February 27th, 2010

Virtual Desktop technology has really become one of the best advancements in technology over the past several years. A virtual desktop is a phrase that relates to user interfaces and the ability to expand the display past the size of the monitor.

Some common virtual desktops features include things like switchable desktops, and scrolling desktops. One of the first platforms to use multiple desktop display was Amiga. This was a long time ago, way back in 1985.

The ability to view multiple desktops at once on a single monitor is really a benefit to the working people of today. Multitasking is something that everyone has to do, and being able to see everything you’re doing at once is really helpful.
