A large part of your cholesterol level is due to hereditary factors, but a significant portion is a result of your dietary regime. If you eat lots of fatty foods which are bad for you then your cholesterol level will be higher than it needs to be. On the other side of the coin, there a re a large number of foods that lower cholesterol and if you include these in your diet then you can expect your cholesterol level to improve. These types of food are better for you in general so, in addition to a lower cholesterol level, you will get other health benefits also.
