Where Is the Acai Berry Grown?

July 23rd, 2009

The little berry that is so beneficial to your health is not found growing in all parts of the world.  It only grows in the Amazon rain forest of Brazil.  The Acai berry begins to lose its potency quickly and must be processed within twenty-four hours of picking.  This makes it impossible to ship the berries themselves outside of Brazil.  The Acai berry can be made into five varieties of dietary supplements including pills, purees, energy drinks, preserves, and frozen smoothies drinks.  The first four varieties are the most beneficial and commonly used.  You are probably wondering what the Acai berry tastes like.  The answer is a mixture of berries and chocolate.  That is reason enough to use it, but for anyone wanting to improve their health Acai berry is one of the best dietary supplements available today.
