The Roots Grow Deep
November 14th, 2009
Running a small business is a lot more demanding than my dad ever made it look. Books, employees, neighbors, vendors and customers made for a hectic work environment. As I tried to learn from my father, the biggest lesson he taught was how important family holidays were. He always saved holiday money so that we could enjoy time off from school and work. It was a real treat to be able to pass that great tradition and value down to my kids. I can’t wait for them to tell their kids about the value of family time. I am excited to see the family traditions get passed from generation to generation.
